Body of baby girl found at dump

Police said an investigation is underway in relation to a newborn baby who was found dead yesterday (May 31) in the Riverton Landfill, Kingston 11.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said, according to the Seaview Gardens police, workers found the body among garbage about 4:20pm and called the cops.

“Crime scene investigators, who responded and processed the scene, revealed that the baby was female and still had the umbilical cord attached,” said the JCF, which noted that an investigation is continuing.
