Another lawyer murdered at home in Kingston
January 18, 2019The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 49-year-old lawyer Gareth Forbes was shot dead in his home at Oakridge, Stilwell Road in Kingston 8, yesterday, January 17.
It said: “Reports from the Constant Spring Police are that, about 10pm, a relative found Forbes unresponsive at his home and summoned them.
“On arrival of the lawmen, he was seen lying in a pool of blood; he had been shot several times. The crime scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue,” the JCF further said.
It noted that investigations are ongoing.
Forbes, in the meantime, is at least the second lawyer to be murdered within the last two months.
Another lawyer, 34-year-old Nordraka Williams-Burnett, was stabbed to death last month in her home at West Kirkland Heights, Kingston 19. Her husband was arrested for the crime.
