Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) seized 2500 pounds of compressed ganja during an operation in Guts River, Manchester, yesterday, September 28.

The JCF said reports are that, about 1pm, law enforcers were in the area when a vegetated area was searched.

“Twenty-seven knitted plastic bags were found containing compressed ganja, which was subsequently seized. The illicit drug has an estimated street value of JA$10 million,” the JCF further disclosed.

It said no one was arrested in relation to the seizure, but investigations are continuing. File photo.
