Glengoffe boy killed by lightning

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 15-year-old Jahnoy Dacres from Bamboo Ridge in Glengoffe, St Catherine, died after being struck by lightning in his community yesterday, September 8.

It added: “Reports from the Glengoffe Police are that, about 12:30PM, Jahnoy was picking guineps during a thunderstorm when the incident occurred. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

No foul play is suspected.

Jahnoy is said to be a student at Glengoffe High School.
