Cops find gun, arrest man in Kingston

Police took a man into custody in relation to the seizure of an illegal gun at Inverness district in Kingston 14 on Monday, June 4.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a 9 millimetre pistol and a magazine containing seven rounds were seized.

It stated that, about 8am, an operation was carried out at premises where a house was searched and the firearm and ammunition found in a knapsack.

The JCF noted that investigations are ongoing, and the name of the man in custody is being withheld pending further investigation.
