St Ann mechanic dies in crash

A man was killed and another injured in a motor vehicle collision on the Discovery Bay main road in St Ann this afternoon, January 3, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

The deceased is 26-year-old mechanic Jerome Hall from Keith district in Brown’s Town, St Ann.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Discovery Bay Police are that, about 3:30pm, Hall was driving a Yamaha 600 motorcycle towards Ocho Rios. Upon reaching a section of the roadway, he collided with a Toyota Corolla motor car.

“Both drivers sustained multiple injuries and were taken to hospital where Hall was pronounced dead and the driver of the Toyota Corolla admitted for treatment,” added the JCF, which noted that investigations are ongoing.
