Security guard murdered at school in Westmoreland

A security guard died a day after being stabbed at Grange Hill High School in Westmoreland on Friday, March 29.

He is 44-year-old Clifton Lumley, pictured above, from Llandilo in the parish.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said: “Reports are that, about 2:50PM, Lumley was attacked by two men – one armed with a stick and the other with a knife. A tussle ensued and Lumley was stabbed several times. The police were summoned and he was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, March 30.”

The JCF also appealed for witnesses to come forward. “The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist in their investigation to contact the Morgan’s Bridge Police at 876-955-1375, 119 police emergency number or the nearest police station.”

There are reports that the stabber is a student.
