Cops find gun, arrest man in Old Harbour

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a team of officers arrested a man after finding a firearm and three rounds of ammunition during an operation at Spring Village in Old Harbour, St Catherine, yesterday, October 29.

The accused is 27-year-old labourer Chevoie Brown from Spring Village, Old Harbour.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Old Harbour Police are that, about 9:45pm, lawmen were in the area when Brown aroused their suspicion. He was accosted, searched, and one .38 revolver containing three rounds of ammunition found in his possession. He was subsequently arrested and charged.”

Brown is to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday, November 9.
