Photos received by The Beacon give a clearer idea of how narrowly businessman Wayne Stanbury recently escaped death in his community of Linstead, St Catherine.

Stanbury operates Berry-Don Financial Services, including the Western Union outlet at 25A Kings Street, Linstead.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said Stanbury was shot in the right arm, adding that the incident happened minutes before 10 o’clock on the night of October 11.

“Reports are that the businessman was on his way home driving his car when he observed a parked car. When he passed the car, he heard gunshots and realized that he was the target,” the JCF said. “He sped away and drove to the Linstead Police Station. When he got there, they realized that he was shot in the right arm.”

Stanbury did not suffer any life-threatening injury.

He, in the meantime, recently lost his wife. She died of natural cause.
