Kwame Anwar Bennett, who resides at Sheffield district in Westmoreland, has proven again that he is an academic force with which to reckon.
He amassed 13 CSEC subjects, administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).
The past-student of Manning’s High School attained the best grade possible (Grade One) in 11 of the subjects he sat.
He, this year, reaped these 10 subjects:
- Mathematics – Grade One
- Additional Mathematics – Grade One
- Biology – Grade One
- Chemistry – Grade One
- Economics – Grade One
- English A – Grade One
- Information Technology – Grade One
- Integrated Science – Grade One
- Physics – Grade One
- Spanish – Grade Two
Kwame, who previously attended Ironshore Kindergarten and Negril All Age School, did CSEC Social Studies while he was in Grade Nine, and achieved a Grade Two.
He, the following year, accomplished Grade Ones in Principles of Business as well as Human and Social Biology.
“I feel wonderful and accomplished at being so successful in my exams,” Kwame told The Beacon, adding that he endured ‘many long days and nights of hard work and dedication’.
He is eternally grateful to his teachers, his friends and his relatives – especially his parents Dr Kadian Bennett and Gloria Gilpin who is the guidance counsellor at Negril All Age School.
Dr Bennett said: “I feel excited but not surprised, because Kwame has been a high achiever at every grade, and he is very committed to school.” Kwame intends to become a physicist.
