The JCF told The Beacon: “Reports are that Harriott was driving a motor car along Mountain View Avenue when he was attacked and shot by men on a motorcycle. The vehicle he was driving crashed.

“The police were alerted. On their arrival, Harriott was seen with gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” the JCF further said through its Corporate Communications Unit. It noted that investigations are continuing.

It’s understood that Harriott was leaving the National Stadium when he was gunned down.

Harriott, on March 25, attended the funeral service for the top man in the British Link Up Crew – Owen Clarke, also known as Roy Fowl and Fada Fowl.

The JCF, after Clarke was murdered on February 22, disclosed that men on a motorcycle perpetrated the crime shortly before midnight while Clarke was partying in Kencot, St Andrew.

Clarke, who was shot several times as he stood along a roadway, served time in British prison for leading an international drug ring. His British Link Up Crew hosted a number of Dancehall events locally and in Britain.

Clarke was laid to rest on March 27 at Pear Tree Grove Cemetery in St Mary following a funeral service, which was held at Bagbie Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Troja area of St Catherine.
