A family is in grief after losing a loved one in the Duncans area of Trelawny shortly before 8 o’clock this morning, March 28.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 52-year-old taxi operator Linval Clarke, who was a passenger in an ill-fated motor vehicle, died as a result of injuries received in a crash.

Clarke is a resident of Amiel Town in St Mary.

Sources have told The Beacon that the late Clarke was accompanying his son to the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay when the accident unfolded.

His son, who should have left the island for the United States, is now in hospital. Another member of the Clarke family suffered minor injuries.

The JCF, through its Corporate Communications Unit, said two vehicles were involved in the accident. The other belongs to a security company.
