Residents of Sterling Castle Heights today burned a house and murdered one of their own as speculations run high about possible suspects behind the murder of eight-year-old Shantae Skyers from the said district.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) stated that, shortly before 3PM, police officers received reports about a man being beaten in the Bulla Level area of Sterling Castle Heights.

When law enforcers arrived on the scene, the man was seen ablaze. He later died.

Residents also set fire to a wooden house.

Up to publication time, police and fire personnel were still at the scene of the mob killing.

Meanwhile, the JCF, earlier today, reported that it has detained two men in relation to the murder of Shantae.

The child’s body was found yesterday, April 16, among rubble in an area of St Andrew known as Blue Hole. She went missing on April 11.
