LLUIDAS VALE: School roof finally being repaired

August 10, 2019 0 By Horace Mills

Work is on in earnest to repair the deplorable roof, which covers classrooms at Lluidas Vale Primary School in St Catherine.

There have been complaints that the long-existing roof had become termite-infested, and was causing teachers and students to fall ill.

When The Beacon visited the school yesterday, August 9, workers said the repairs were being spearheaded by the Ministry of Education.

One of them explained that, although the zinc on all classrooms will be replaced with new ones, relatively large portions of the wooden ceiling will remain in place.
