A resident of Linstead in St Catherine is among two people killed in a motor vehicle accident on the Boscobel main road in St Mary – not far from Ocho Rios in St Ann.

The Linstead resident, who also resided at Cox Street in St Mary, is 42-year-old Marlon Roberts, who is pictured above.

On social media, Roberts previously stated that he attended Dinthill Technical High School in Linstead.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said Roberts died yesterday morning, October 8, but the crash happened the previous day.

A second man, Tyrone Thompson, died on the day of the incident.

Three other persons, including a child, were also injured in the accident.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Oracabessa Police are that, about 7:50PM, the driver of a Nissan AD Wagon motorcar allegedly lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently collided into an Isuzu Forward motor truck that was travelling in the opposite direction.

“The police were alerted and, on their arrival, all five persons were transported to hospital where Tyrone Thompson was pronounced dead. Two of the occupants were admitted for treatment. One was treated and released, and Roberts succumbed to his injuries about 6AM on Tuesday, October 8,” added the JCF.

It noted that investigation are continuing.
