Cuban nurse killed / ambulance driver arrested

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a 55-year-old Cuban nurse was stabbed to death at Hayes in Clarendon yesterday, May 29.

She is Nancy Samuels, an Ambulance Service Contractor, who lived at Copper Avenue in New Harbour Village, St Catherine.

The JCF said: “Reports from the May Pen Police are that, about 3PM, Samuels was allegedly attacked by an ambulance driver and a knife used to stab her.

“The police were summoned and she was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead. The man was taken into custody. However, his identity is being withheld pending further investigations,” the JCF added.
