Clarendon’s most wanted arrested, charged for two murders

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said two men from the Top Ten Most Wanted List in Clarendon have been arrested and charged.

They are 22-year-old Shevaughn Hall who is otherwise called ‘Munga’ from Evans Avenue in Effortville, and 44-year-old shop owner Malikie Whyte who is otherwise called ‘Hagga’ from Coffals district in Race Course.

The JCF stated that Hall, who was Clarendon’s number one most wanted, was apprehended on Tuesday, August 27.

He has been charged with the murders of 18-year-old Shavour Henry from Giron Avenue and 18-year-old Najair Ferguson from Top Hill – both in Effortville, Clarendon.

Hall also has been charged with shooting with intent, illegal possession of firearm, and illegal possession of ammunition in relation to the aforementioned incident.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Clarendon Police are that, on March 4, 2019 about 11AM, Henry, Ferguson and another man were allegedly sitting in a yard when they were approached by Hall who opened gunfire hitting them several times. They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead. The third man escaped unharmed.”

Hall who is also facing charges under the Criminal Justice (Suppression of Criminal Organisations) Act, also has been charged by the St. Elizabeth Police for Robbery with Aggravation.

In the meantime, detectives from the Clarendon Division arrested and charged Whyte on Tuesday, August 27, in relation to a case of rape committed in his community in 2018.
