The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its officers found a gun at the scene where two men were shot – one fatally, at Sewell Crescent in May Pen, Clarendon, yesterday, April 1.

The deceased is 52-year-old auto body repairman Peter Dawkins, otherwise called Stamma, from Sewell Crescent.

The JCF said: “Reports from the May Pen Police are that, about 7PM, Dawkins was at home with other persons when armed men allegedly entered the yard and opened gunfire, hitting him and another man.

“The police were alerted and the injured men taken to hospital. Dawkins was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in stable condition. One 9 millimetre pistol, with a magazine containing one 9 millimetre cartridge, was found and seized at the scene,” the JCF disclosed, adding that investigations are ongoing.
