All seems set for relatives and friends to pay their last respects on Sunday, 4 May 2025, to Wellesley Bolt – the father of sprint legend Usain Bolt.
A service of thanksgiving for his life will be held at Falmouth Seventh Day Adventist Church on Duke Street in the Trelawny capital, commencing at 11 o’clock in the morning.
Measures have been put in place to accommodate at least 1,000 people seated inside and outside the sanctuary, a church official told The Beacon.

Internment will be at Reserve Cemetery in the Sherwood Content area – a few miles away from Falmouth town centre.
The late Bolt, a former coffee farmer and grocery shop operator, is survived mainly by his two sons and daughter, as well as his wife Jennifer.
He was born 16 July 1956. And he died of an undisclosed illness 31 March 2025 at a Kingston-based medical facility where he was taken after being ill at his Trelawny home.
