Westmoreland: Dental assistant dies in crash

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said 31-year-old dental assistant Leighton Thompson, otherwise called Spangie, from Hertford district in Westmoreland died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident on the Hertford main road yesterday, February 13.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Savanna-la-mar police are that, about 1pm, Thompson was driving his motorcycle when he allegedly lost control and collided into a light post. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

Investigations are continuing, the JCF further said.
