St James: Cops identify victims in second double murder

Police said the two men shot dead yesterday on Barnett Street in Montego Bay, St James, are 34-year-old Melbourne Kerr and 31-year-old Shyan McKenzie, both from Albion in the parish.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the incident unfolded yesterday afternoon.

“Reports are that, about 5:22PM, residents heard explosions. When the police arrived, both men were seen lying along the roadway with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.”

That incident, in the meantime, was the second double murder recorded in St James within less than 12 hours. In the first incident, two men were shot dead and three others wounded at Rose Heights in the parish.
