ST JAMES: Body of US Marine veteran found

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the decomposed body of a United States Marine veteran was found in an apartment in Unity Hall, St James, yesterday, March 14.

He has been identified as 63-year-old Eric Washington from New York.

The JCF said: “Reports from the Anchovy Police are that, about 4:15PM, police officers were summoned to the address after reports of a foul smell emanating from the apartment.

“Upon their arrival, the body of the deceased was found in his apartment in an advanced state of decomposition. The body has been removed to the morgue awaiting post mortem examination,” added the JCF, which said investigations are continuing.
