ST ANN: Two young men die in crash

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said two men have died as a result of injuries they received in a vehicular collision on Llandovery main road in St Ann.

The deceased are 17-year-old Lenford Ashmead and 19-year-old Geovanni Forbes, both from Lewis district in the parish.

The JCF said: “Reports from the St Ann’s Bay Police are that, about midday [on Sunday, November 3], Ashmead was driving his motorcycle with Forbes as a pillion passenger.

“On reaching a section of the roadway, he (Ashmead) allegedly lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a corner and crashed. Both Ashmead and Forbes sustained injuries and were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead,” added the JCF.

It said investigations are continuing.
