A young man from St Mary was murdered and his brother seriously wounded on Christmas Day in Ocho Rios town centre, St Ann, according to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
The deceased is 20-year-old Rashawn Moore from Gibraltar Heights in Annotto Bay, St Mary.
The JCF said: “Reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that, about 7:13am, Moore and his brother were in the town centre when an argument developed between Moore and a group of men armed with knives. A fight subsequently ensued. Moore and his brother were stabbed.
“They were taken to the hospital where Moore was pronounced dead and the brother admitted in critical but stable condition,” added the JCF.
It noted that the investigation is continuing.
