Spanish Town woman dies in crash

Thirty-two-year-old Francine Coley from Adelaide Street in Spanish Town, St Catherine, died as a result of injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Barrett Street in Spanish Town yesterday, March 17.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said: “Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that, about 1:40AM, the driver of a white Mazda motorcar was travelling along the mentioned roadway heading towards White Church Street.

“On reaching a section of the roadway, Coley allegedly stepped into the path of the vehicle and was hit. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead,” added the JCF, which noted that investigations are ongoing.
