A Jamaica Defence Force lieutenant is in police custody following the stabbing death of his wife, 34-year-old attorney-at-law Nordraka Williams-Burnett.
The incident happened at the couple’s home in West Kirkland Heights, Kingston 19, shortly before daybreak today, December 13, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
It further explained: “Reports from the Red Hills Police are that, about 5am, residents heard strange sounds and summoned the police. On arrival of the lawmen, checks were made at the premises and the body of Mrs Williams-Burnett was found in a room with multiple wounds.
“Her husband was also seen sitting inside the room and was subsequently taken into custody. More information to follow as investigations into the matter are ongoing,” the JCF further said.
The couple has been together for over 10 years and has two young children.
