Okeefa Hanson has brought glory to Top Jackson district in Sligoville, St Catherine.

She sat eight CSEC subjects, administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).

Okeefa attained the best possible grade (Grade One) in all eight – Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, English A, Spanish, English B, Information Technology, and Physics.

Even more impressively, Okeefa got straight ‘A Profiles’ in all of the subjects.

“I am very elated as it is evident that my very hard work has paid off and all those late nights without sleep was worth it,” she told The Beacon.

The young scholar accomplished the feat at Immaculate Conception High School, where she will enroll in the sixth form programme.

No stranger to academic success, Okeefa, in 2014, graduated from Top Jackson Primary School as that institution’s top student in the Grade Six Achievement Test.

As she continues her journey towards a career in the field of medicine, the pattern of academic excellence is expected to hold.

Well done, Okeefa!
