The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a disc jockey and a female student of the University of Technology are the latest road fatality victims.

They sustained injuries in a collision on the Spanish Town Bypass in St. Catherine yesterday, November 25.

One of the deceased is 40-year-old Raymond Peart, also called DJ Venom, who was employed to the RJR Communications Group (FAME FM). He resided at Yallahs in St. Thomas and Webster Place in Old Harbour, St. Catherine.

The student is 21-year-old Abigail Rowe from March Pen Road in St. Catherine.

The JCF said: “Reports are that, about 10PM, Peart was driving his Honda CBR 600 motorcycle along the Spanish Town Bypass heading towards Old Harbour when, on reaching the vicinity of March Pen Road, he collided with Rowe who was a pedestrian.

“They both sustained multiple injuries and were transported to the Spanish Town Hospital where they were pronounced dead,” added the JCF, which noted that an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
