The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has confirmed the death of the second man, who was injured in a nasty motor vehicle crash near Ocho Rios town centre in St Ann shortly before daylight today, April 14.

Twenty-eight year-old Christopher Lake, who is pictured above, passed away at 9:14 this morning, said the JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit.

Lake, who is a resident of Boscobel Heights in St Mary, initially was admitted to hospital in critical condition following the crash. He was the passenger in the ill-fated vehicle.

The JCF previously stated that the incident claimed the life of the driver, 39-year-old Sekou Phipps, who also was a disc jockey.

It said reports from the Ocho Rios Police are that, about 4AM, Phipps was driving a Honda Civic motor car along the Ocho Rios Bypass with Lake aboard.

They were heading towards Ocho Rios town centre, when Phipps allegedly lost control of the motor vehicle, which ran off the road and crashed into a tree.
