Man charged for murder of woman downtown

Police said a man from St Thomas has been charged for the murder of a woman on Orange Street in downtown Kingston yesterday, March 15.

He is 38-year-old labourer Grey Roy from Ball Ground in 11 Miles, St Thomas.

Detectives at the Denham Town Criminal Investigation Branch charged Roy based on allegations that he used a knife to stab the woman during an altercation shortly after 9 o’clock in the morning.

The deceased is 32 year-old Shawna Eddie from Norman Lane, Kingston 11.
Investigations are ongoing, the JCF said.
