The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said its officers in May Pen, Clarendon, have charged a man in connection with the death of 18-year-old Demoy Watson from Iron Gate district in the said parish on Thursday, October 17.

The man charged with murder is Heron McFarlane, a 34-year-old farmer of Iron Gate.

The JCF said: “Reports are that both men had a dispute when Watson reportedly used a machete to inflict wounds to McFarlane. It is alleged that McFarlane subsequently used a stone to hit Watson in the head. The police were summoned and Watson was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

Watson was a final-year student at Thompson Town High School in Clarendon.
