Chavoui Davidson, a native of Zephyrton district in Linstead, St Catherine, is now the proud holder of nine CSEC subjects, administered by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC).

She sat eight of those subjects this year, and attained the best possible grade (Grade One) in seven of them – Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Spanish, Principles of Business, English A, and Information Technology.

Chavoui, in the meantime, got a Grade Three in Additional Mathematics.

“I am very pleased with my results,” she told The Beacon, but noted that she could have done better in Additional Mathematics.

Chavoui, in fact, got a Grade One and all ‘A’ Profiles in Mathematics last year.

She has attributed her success to God, to her parents Andrew and Joycelin Davidson, and to the ‘sleepless nights’ she spent studying.

Chavoui is a past-student of Ardenne High School, Ewarton Primary, and Louisa Haywood Basic School. Her academic journey will next take her to sixth form.

Chavoui intends to become a neurosurgeon.
