Monique Bennett, who intends to pursue a career in law, is ecstatic about her huge success in CSEC this year, having attained 10 subjects – all in Grade One, which is the best grade one can score.

She hails from Time and Patience district in Linstead, St Catherine.

Bennett, who attended St Jago High School in Spanish Town, is heading back to that institution to pursue higher studies in sixth form.

Here are her preliminary results released by the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC):

Mathematics – Grade One
Principles of Accounts – Grade One

Principles of Business – Grade One

English A – Grade One
English B (Literature) – Grade One

Spanish – Grade One

Social Studies – Grade One
Geography – Grade One

Information Technology – Grade One
Caribbean History – Grade One

The young scholar’s father, Winston Bennett, passed away five years ago.

But she has received big support from teachers, friends, and relatives – including her mother Monefa Brown.

Bennett, in response to questions posed by The Beacon, also attributed her success to the sacrifices she has made and to her firm belief in God.
