Linstead driver killed at WINDALCO

A truck driver lost his life in a bizarre incident at West Indies Alumina Company (WINDALCO) in the Ewarton area of St Catherine this afternoon, March 18.

He is Kevar Clive Burrell from Treadways in Linstead, St Catherine.

He reportedly was a contract worker at WINDALCO.

Sources have told The Beacon that Burrell parked the truck he was driving on an embankment, which collapsed beneath the vehicle.

The truck landed on the driver’s side, killing Burrell.

The incident happened some time after 2 o’clock, but the body was not removed until about 7pm, sources further said.
