KELLITS: Woman shot dead at Brandon Hill, man wounded

A gunman shot and killed a 21-year-old woman at Brandon Hill district – not far from Kellits in Clarendon last evening, October 12.

A man was also shot and wounded.

The deceased is Janise Simpson from Turtle Pond district in the parish, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

It further told The Beacon: “Reports from the Croft’s Hill Police are that, about 9:30PM, Simpson and a man were in a motor vehicle along the roadway when it is alleged that a man armed with a handgun approached them and demanded their valuables.

“The gunman then opened gunfire hitting them. They were taken to the hospital where Simpson died while being treated and the man was admitted for treatment,” added the JCF.

It noted that investigations are ongoing.
