KELLITS: Croft’s Hill youths urged to attend skills training centre

Councillor for Croft’s Hill Division in Clarendon, Anthony O’Connor, has appealed for young people in his division to make good use of the state-owned skills training centre in the nearby town of Kellits.

“The centre is up and running in Kellits. The youths from Croft’s Hill can go to Kellits because at least I am sure that most of our youths are trainable, and we want to see them going to the skills training centre,” he said during a recent political meeting in his division.

O’Connor, who underscored the importance of obtaining a skill, noted that one resident whom he encouraged to study plumbing at Portmore HEART Academy is now in England doing very well.

“Skill is power,” he further emphasized.
