Hanover man murdered in Westmoreland
July 29, 2018The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said the Negril Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the shooting death of a man on Nompriel Road in Westmoreland yesterday, July 28.
The deceased is 28-year-old Sean Newell, otherwise called Demar, from Damp Road in Logwood, Hanover.
The JCF explained: “Reports from the Negril police are that, about 4:30am, Newell was walking towards his motorcar when he was pounced upon by a lone gunman who opened gunfire hitting him several times. The gunman then escaped on a waiting motorcycle.
“The police were summoned and Newell was taken to hospital where death was confirmed. Investigations continue,” added the JCF.
