Gun shipped | Foreigner among 2 held

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said two men, including a foreign national, are in custody following the seizure of a Ruger semi-automatic pistol on Industrial Terrace in Kingston on Wednesday, April 3.

It said the firearm was found about 1PM during the search of a crate, which was shipped from the United States of America.

The search was conducted during a joint operation between the JCF’s Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch, and the Contraband Enforcement Team from Jamaica Customs.

The JCF stated that the men arrested are to be formally interviewed in the presence of their attorney, adding that charges will be laid.
