Cops find gun 15 minutes into new year

A group of officers from Hunts Bay Police Station rang in the New Year with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition on Bishop Avenue in Kingston 11 today, January 1.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force said: “Reports are that, about 12:15am, lawmen were on patrol in the area when a group of men allegedly ran on approach of the police. Subsequent checks made to the entrance of a premises the men were occupying revealed a Smith and Wesson firearm and 13 rounds of ammunition.”
