Cops find 2 guns, arrest 2 persons in Hanover
February 4, 2019The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a team of officers from the Hanover Police Division seized one firearm and 15 rounds of ammunition during an operation at McQuarrie district in Sandy Bay, Hanover, yesterday, February 3.
Two persons are in custody in relation to the seizure.
The JCF said: “Reports from the Sandy Bay Police are that, about 5am, lawmen were in the area when a premises was searched – which was occupied by a male and female, and one Smith and Wesson 9 millimetre, with a magazine containing fifteen 9 millimetre rounds of ammunition was found inside the house.”
The JCF said both persons at the premises were taken into custody, but their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
