Clarendon teen dies in crash hours before new year

Eighteen-year-old Andre Buchanan from Woodhall in Clarendon died of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision on New Road in the parish yesterday, December 31.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force said: “Reports from the Chapelton Police are that, about 6:30pm, Buchanan was driving his motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Caldina motor car. The police were summoned and both Buchanan and the driver of the motor were taken to hospital. Buchanan was pronounced dead and the driver of the motor car admitted.”

Investigations are continuing, added the JCF.
