The Jamaica Constabulary Force said a man is now charged for the murder of 34-year-old Omar Johnson from Payton Place, August Town.

He is 32-year-old businessman Marvin Markland, otherwise called Papa, from Goldsmith Villa in the August Town area.

Markland is charged with:

Markland was charged after being formally interviewed in the presence of his lawyer on January 12.

He reportedly was walking along a roadway in his community when armed men with high-powered rifles shot him several times.
