The police Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said a body that was found in a ‘very deep’ pit in the Goodwill area of St James is yet to be extracted from the pit.

It was spotted yesterday, February 2, the CCU told The Beacon this morning, adding that the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

However, there are reports that law enforcers at the location have found a briefcase and clothes belonging to 65-year-old attorney-at-law Williams Hines, otherwise called Baldie, who has been missing since January 6.

Police said Hines is from Greenside in Falmouth, Trelawny, as well as Mona in St Andrew.

He is of dark complexion, slim build, and is about 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) tall. He was last seen at home in Trelawny.
