Bauxite plant operator dies in crash

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a vehicular crash killed a man on Cheapside district main road in Nain, St Elizabeth, on Friday, March 1.

The deceased is 23-year-old bauxite plant operator Demar Dunkley from New Building district in Nain.

According to the JCF, “Reports from the Nain Police are that, about 10:35pm, Dunkley was driving a Honda Fit motor car towards Balaclava in the parish.

“On reaching a section of the roadway, he allegedly lost control of the motor vehicle, which crashed into a tree. He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead,” the JCF further said, adding that investigations are continuing.
