2 arrested for gun seized in St Thomas

The St Thomas police have taken two men into custody in relation to a gun seized on the Bull Bay main road in the parish yesterday, July 27.

The .38 revolver was found along with three rounds of ammunition, said the Jamaica Constabulary Force(JCF).

It explained: “Reports are that, about 5:30pm, police were conducting a vehicular checkpoint along the roadway when the driver of a white Nissan AD wagon was signalled to stop.

“The motor vehicle was searched and a knapsack was taken from the passenger seat which contained the firearm and ammunition,” added the JCF.

It said the identities of the men arrested are being withheld, pending further investigations.
