$1.2M worth of ganja found in Portland

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a team of officers from the Portland Division seized approximately 300 pounds of ganja at White River district in the parish yesterday, February 13.

It said: “Reports are that, about 3:20pm, the team was processing a crime scene in the area when they observed six garbage bags containing ganja under a tree on an open lot.”

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

The ganja has an estimated street value of JMD1,200,000, the JCF further said.
