It is not unusual for donkeys from Crofts Hill in Clarendon to cross the border into St Catherine to participate in the annual Emancipation Day races at Top Hill.
In fact, the community of Top Hill is located near the border of both parishes; so too is the community of Crofts Hill.
A total of 12 donkeys participated in the Emancipation Day races yesterday.
Star Boy from Crofts Hill emerged the Champion.
Event organizer Melton Edwards said Star Boy also was the champion last year.
The second-place finisher yesterday was No Lend from Top Hill, third is Black and the Beauty from Crofts Hill, and Long Distance Stulla from Pennington in Lluidas Vale was fourth.
