LLUIDAS VALE: Security minister to open police station on August 9

August 8, 2019 0 By Horace Mills

The Shady Grove Police Station in Lluidas Vale, St Catherine, will be opened officially tomorrow morning, August 9, the Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed.

The guests who will be in attendance include Minister of National Security Dr Horace Chang and Commissioner of Police Antony Anderson.

Up to publication time, there was uncertainty as to whether Prime Minister Andrew Holness will be in attendance. The Office of the Prime Minister said the event was not on Mr Holness’ agenda for tomorrow.

The opening ceremony will commence at 11AM at the station compound.

Police officers, on 11 January 2019, moved into the brand new station, and have been operating from there since.

A number of attempts to have the facility opened officially have been missed. On one of those occasions, it was postponed because Mr Holness had a conflicting engagement.
