The Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidate for Lluidas Vale Division in St Catherine, Joel Williams, said his back-to-school fair and social held this month was a success.

He added that more than 100 people benefited at each of the two locations – Tydixon Primary School and Lluidas Vale Primary.

“The people were very receptive especially towards the doctors and nurses,” Williams told The Beacon, adding that multi-vitamins were distributed. The children also received items such as school bags and books.

Williams said a variety of government agencies attended the event. They included the Registrar General’s Department, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Programme of Advancement through Health and Education (PATH), the Tax Administration, and the National Council on Drug Abuse.

“Everything went well; it was a success,” Williams declared.
