LLUIDAS VALE: 2 men in custody, one in hospital after severe beating

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) said a male resident of Lluidas Vale in St Catherine has been hospitalized and two others are in police custody following an incident in the said community last night, May 5.

It is being alleged that men from the community kicked open another man’s door, entered his house, and beat him severely, resulting in him being admitted to hospital in stable condition.

The JCF stated that the beating was sparked by allegations that the man who is now in hospital touched a female child in what is said to have been an inappropriate manner.

It further stated that the man, who allegedly did the touching, appeared to have been intoxicated.

He has not been charged for any offence; neither have the men who are now in custody.
